According to analysis, the power consumption of the input power for grinding materials (doing useful work) accounts for only a small part, about 5% to 7%, and most of the electrical energy is consumed in other aspects, mainly converted into thermal and acoustic energy and disappears, which is a big waste.
2.2 Heavy and bulky machine: the total weight of large ball mills can reach several hundred tons or more, so the one-time investment is bound to be large. 2.3 Expensive configuration: Due to the low rotation speed of the cylinder (15 to 25 revolutions per minute), if it is driven by an ordinary motor, it needs to be equipped with an expensive reduction gear.
2.4 High production cost: while the grinding body impacts and grinds the material, it will also be abraded and stripped, and the liner and other parts in the cylinder are also abraded and stripped. Therefore, in the entire cement production process, the amount of iron plates consumed by the pulverization operation (raw material preparation, cement grinding) is very large. According to analysis, about 1 kg of steel is consumed per ton of cement produced.
